Abstract

Learning difficulties are an educational challenge that affects a large percentage of individuals around the world. These difficulties, which hinder the ability to learn basic skills such as reading, writing and arithmetic, are not caused by a lack of intelligence, but rather by complex biological, organic and environmental factors. Although learning difficulties may affect anyone regardless of age or background, they often appear in early childhood and continue throughout life if not treated appropriately. Early diagnosis of these difficulties is important to provide the necessary support for the child, as traditional teaching may not be sufficient to meet his special needs.

The types of learning difficulties and their causes are many, and they may overlap with each other. Some of these types include reading difficulties (dyslexia), writing difficulties (dysgraphia), and arithmetic difficulties (dyscalculia), as well as developmental difficulties such as attention and memory.

This research aims to explore the causes and types of learning difficulties and provide a comprehensive overview of them. The research also seeks to highlight the importance of early diagnosis and early intervention and provide suggestions for effective teaching strategies. In addition, learning difficulties will be compared to other related concepts such as slow learning and academic delay.

In conclusion, it can be said that learning difficulties represent a great challenge, but through cooperation between teachers, parents and specialists, we can help children with these difficulties achieve success and development in their lives.
