Appeals and Complaints
Appeals against editorial decisions, complaints regarding delays in manuscript processing, or concerns related to publication ethics may be formally submitted to the journal. The journal welcomes comprehensive appeals supported by clear evidence, which will be initially assessed by the journal editor(s) to determine their validity.
If the appeal is deemed justified, it will be referred to the journal’s Editorial Board and/or external reviewers. Based on the outcome of this review process, a new editorial decision will be made.
PADiR Journal carefully considers complaints, appeals, and allegations in accordance with the guidelines issued by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). These procedures apply both before and after publication.
Upon receipt of a complaint, it will be referred to the journal editor(s), who will handle it in accordance with COPE guidelines. Where necessary, allegations may be referred to the relevant institution for further investigation.
Pending the completion of any investigations, the published record may be updated through a post-publication notice, such as a correction or retraction. Such notices will be linked to the original article. The presence of a persistent Digital Object Identifier (DOI) and an electronic link (URL) between the notice and the original article ensures transparency and preserves the integrity of the scholarly record. Articles are removed only in very rare cases and when required in the public interest.
How to Submit a Complaint or Appeal
To submit a complaint, report a potential case of misconduct, or appeal an editorial decision, please contact the journal editor(s) and provide a clear and detailed explanation of the complaint or appeal.
If the complaint concerns the journal editors, it may be submitted directly to the publisher by contacting the editorial office via email: info@journal.padir-der.org
