Peer-Review Process

PADiR Journal uses a double-blind peer-review system to ensure the quality of publication. All submissions must be submitted through the Editorial Manager manuscript submission system. Authors must first create an account in our system before submitting their manuscript. Prior to sending the manuscript to reviewers, Turnitin will be used to check for plagiarism.

  1. Manuscript Submission: The corresponding author or submitting author submits the manuscript to PADiR Journal, usually through an electronic system.
  2. Structural Assessment: The Editorial Board management officer checks the structure and organization of the manuscript according to the journal’s author guidelines to ensure that it includes the required sections and formatting requirements. The quality of the manuscript is not evaluated at this stage.
  3. Editor-in-Chief Assessment: The Editor-in-Chief verifies whether the manuscript is suitable for the journal and whether it is sufficiently original and of scholarly interest. If not, the manuscript may be rejected without further review.
  4. Plagiarism Screening: At this stage, the manuscript is screened using Turnitin to determine the similarity index. If the similarity index is below 15%, the manuscript is considered for peer review; otherwise, it is rejected due to similarity.
  5. Reviewer Invitation: The Editor-in-Chief invites individuals deemed suitable as reviewers. As responses are received, additional invitations are sent when needed until the required number of acceptances is obtained.
  6. Response to Invitations: Potential reviewers evaluate the invitation based on their expertise, conflicts of interest, and availability, then accept or decline.
  7. Review Process: The reviewer allocates time to read the manuscript several times. The first reading is used to form an initial impression of the work. If major problems are identified at this stage, the reviewer may consider rejection appropriate without further review. Otherwise, the reviewer reads the manuscript several more times while taking notes to prepare a detailed point-by-point review. The reviewer then submits the report to the journal with a recommendation for acceptance, rejection, or revision before reconsideration.
  8. Editorial Evaluation of Review Reports: The Editor-in-Chief reviews all received reports before making a final decision. If the reports differ substantially, an additional reviewer may be invited to provide another opinion before a decision is made.
  9. Decision: The Editor-in-Chief sends a decision letter to the author, including any relevant reviewer comments. The reviewer’s identity remains anonymous to the author(s).
  10. Submission of the Revised Version: The author should make the changes requested by the reviewer and highlight these changes in red or with yellow highlighting.
  11. Final Decision: Upon acceptance, the author should pay the auxiliary service fees, after which the manuscript is sent to the layout designer and then to the publisher.
